August 24, 2012 by Debralee "Sporty Spice" Daco   Comments (1)

Finally!
I had the opportunity last week to participate in the SEA Paddle NYC 2012 thanks to Life Dot Sport! It was a beautiful sunny morning at the crack of 8:00am and the paddlers were off to an amazing start on the Hudson. It was quite a view, seeing SUPers paddling along the beautiful NYC skyline. I felt like I was in the city amidst nature! or the other way around?!
Our Life Dot Sport sailboat followed and cheered the paddlers on just passed the U.S.S Interepid. We had to turn around and... Read full post

Race report - Challenge Copenhagen 2012 - only 8 days after Norseman - 10.49 finish time!

August 13, 2012 by Lars Nordhild Rønning   Comments (2)

By luck (or accident?) I ended up with 2 Ironman distance races within only 8 days... I did Norseman last weekend and felt fine and had recovered only a couple of days afterwards so I decided to give Challenge Copenhagen a go yesterday. Loved the swim – took my time and really enjoyed it. Clear water and lots of space, the bike went really well until 140... Read full post

Norseman 4 August 2012 race report
Lars Nordhild Rønning
My fascination with Norseman began in 2005, back in the days when I was running Active Sports and was the distributor for Xterra Wetsuits in the UK and Scandinavia. I had just completed my first Ironman – Ironman Lanzarote – and saw the most amazing pictures from a crazy, cult-like race in Norway called Norseman.
After Lanzarote in May 2005 I decided to register for Half-Ironman UK and Norseman, both to take place in... Read full post

Interesting time for US Women athletes

July 27, 2012 by Ombra   Comments (0)

In an article on the NY Times from July 22nd I found out that while women athletes still lag far behind men when it comes to endorsements, with very few exceptions, the Olympics celebrates and showcases the athleticism of women almost as much as it does for men (I guess we'll soon find out whether this is true or not!).
One interesting fact, is that this year, for the first time, the American contingent of athletes comprises more women (269) than men (261).
So keep en eye on Hope Solo... Read full post
