This looks like the very very sad end to a dazzling career... "complex knee injuries" mean complex recoveries, unfortunately.  I still well recall watching Lindsey's brilliant triumphs at the Vancouver Olympic Games where fans held signs saying "Vonncouver"...  God speed in her physical, mental and spiritual recovery from this serious crash.

So sad to hear about Lindsey's accident...however she is an incredible athlete with amazing strength, will and determintaion, all qualities that enabled her to win the Olympic Gold and be the Alpine Ski world Champion, so I don't necessarily see this as the end of her career.  My thoughts and prayers are with her for a speedy and full recovery.
