Taking place in North Wales, this winter triathlon is not for the faint-hearted; after a bracing swim in the lake at Plas y Brenin, and a 69km bike ride that takes in several mountain passes, the race becomes the only triathlon that ends with a mountain run as the competitors take on the steep slopes of Moel Siabod. The organisers claim this event starts and finishes at a location which has "the most beautiful view in the world." It is the last triathlon in the Always Aim High series, which also includes the Slateman and Sandman events.
