The picture above is that of Corporal Elmer Ugarte is in the U.S. Marine Corps. In 2007, he was shot in the chest by a sniper in Iraq. He said, being shot by someone he couldn't see caused him to become afraid of the unknown. But, he said "being on a board and being demolished by waves, it’s something I can’t control but for some reason it gave me peace."
