The view was a little hazy due to the cold morning (37F / 4C), but what is amazing about this drive is that it traverses the top of the mountains, thus exposing spectacular views on both sides of the range. There had to be at least 50 viewpoints along the ride...

About 1120 meters. Not all that high, but at this time of year, high enough to have a real chill in the air...

I think you guys are really courageous to sit on those machines for hours in the cold!!! But this view is really wonderful, I guess that's what you do it for. The aim is not really the end destination, but everything you see and experience on the way; even the cold gets washed away with good Woolford's (I had to peak in my diary). I suppose you drank the coffee first and then the Woolford's for - if it is that good a whiskey - you do not put it into the coffee?
