Day 2 - Day's end with a warmer upper
Riding past lots of large cattle farms in PA, that quickly became extraordinary horse farms in Virginia... Crossing the Suquahanna River and some beautiful terrain. We ride on secondary roads - avoiding Interstates and other highways whenever we can - but as the sun was getting low in the sky today, we banged out some 80 miles on 6 lane highways. Fortunately, after 8 full hours underway, we got in to our hotel just as the sun was going down. The coffee maker in our room was like a gift from God - along with a good shot of Bourbon it warmed us right up! For those like my friend Valter, you'll recognize that prize bottle of Woodford Reserve... ;o) Warms to the bones!

I prefer Glenfiddish, but I'm sure after driving for hours and hours through that cold weather, any whiskey would do and I am not a connaisseur, so that Bourbon is maybe even better? Is that what a "prize bottle" means?

Woodford's Bourbon, as my friend Walter will tell you, Madame, is one of the finest... I, too, was a scotch man, but Woodford's won me over!

Thank you for telling me : just wrote that down in my diary for the next occasion since I am very willing to learn! I tried a couple of whiskeys I did not know before in Tenerife : one was very good and one not at all, but forgot the names...
