Vacouver Olympic Games 2010

The Olympic Games in Vancouver was something I never ever expected to experience, but there I was with my 82-year-old mother as my guest for the Opening Ceremonies, and what a wonderful evening it was! The cermony was focused on our First Nations indian tribes and was awe-inspiring (in a Canadian kind of way ;o). I was given a Distinguished Guest accreditation from the IOC and they graciously gave me a second ticket to the Opening for my mom...  Watched a LOT of the hockey games, but also made it up to the mountains to enjoy ski jumping, bobsleigh, biathlon, cross-country skiing and many more events.  Being part of the 'Olympic Family' also gave me access to the official car service, so I was able to move from event to event with ease.  One of the highlights of my Olympics was taking my brother, Dan, to catch a hockey game.  I got tickets right behind the penalty box, so we were right in the action!
