Ride to Deering Estate

Ombra sent around a mail to a few friends and we gathered at our place on Saturday to take a ride to the Deering Estate, a beautiful mansion built in 1900 on the east coast of Florida, just south of Coconut Grove.  It is used as an art institution now with several artists-in-residence.  The day could not have been better!  Mid-70's temps (mid-20's celcius), blue sky, a light breeze and good crew...  After arriving there, Ombra met with one of two of the artists, while Bragi, Gianluca and I took a stroll on the grounds.  Dammed if I didn't forget to snap a pic or two of the amazing house, grounds and boat turnaround... Oh well, next time...

Afterward we rode another 10 miles on to Black Point marina for a few Corona's and lunch next on the waterfront...  Arriving home some 5 hours later, Ombretta and I remarked on what a perfect ride it had been.

Nothing like riding with a group of people who all enjoy motorcycling as much as you do! In a way, it is magical...
