So after weighing my options, I chose Montreal Canadiens over the Winnipeg Jets because I thought I would never realize my dream of playing in the NHL if I went to the World Hockey Association.  The Canadiens had just won the Stanley Cup the prior season, so my chances of making the team were between slim and none!  But, hey, you never know...  The famed sports writer, Red Fisher's article sums up what happened pretty well.  I don't recall being as naive to as say things like "Gee whiz" or "Wow and gosh"... but it's in the newspaper, so it must be right?
