The 90+ degree days here in Miami Beach, where the summer temperatures measured how much time one spent out of doors, appear to be common everywhere in the 21st century! Up on the west coast and all across Canada, the midwestern United States, all across Europe... this summer's heat is intense and everyone is feeling it...
In order to maintain our workouts, we need to start at 7:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m. to be able to train in reasonable temperatures - otherwise its just like Bikram Yoga, where they do yoga postures in extreme heat! Tonight, Ombra and I took a nice 3 mile run up and down the beach from 14th Street to South Point and back before diving into the ocean to refresh ourselves. Hoever the ocean water temperatureis almost as warm as the air these days being that the Atlantic is so shallow in this part of the world...
In any case, despite the heat, it feels good to get the endorphins pumping through the body after a long day's work, particularly when the tops of the fluffy clouds are all pink and red from the setting sun.
How does that expression go? Red sky at night, sailors delight; red sky at morning, sailors take warning... Tonight was all delight!
