I find it disturbing that owners & general managers of professional sports franchises do not understand how non-productive it is to "guarantee" 100% of a professional athletes salary.  They all have limited windows of opportunity to play their sports, With the numerous distractions  they would be that much more motivated to come prepared to perform at the highest levels if they knew a percentage of their salary was tied directly to certain levels of performance.  This crap...
