I didn't believe that there is really such a sport, but my friend Keith confirmed it with this link:http:/

Mark the day! June 25th, 2012, our lifedotsport social media platform opened in BETA mode to allow all sport men and women to populate your own pages with your sport story and information and images about your sporting life! LA locked in their spot for Stanley Cup round last night and will get a week's rest while the Rangers and Devils continue their East Coast battles tonight, tied at 2 games a piece... So, as I've said here a number of times, whoever gets the honor from this side of the draw is going to be pretty dam tired when the finals begin.
Here are three scenarios that could play out:
1. Rangers prevail over the Devils and Kings because of King Henrik and he is chosen MVP. Everyone is over the... Read full post

While watching the first two Rangers - Devils playoff games (that were played in the Garden), I noticed that the goal replay camera positioned at the end of the rink, i.e. behind the goaltender, gives the viewers an experience of what it is like to actually be a player on the ice. Fans rarely get the experience, but from this particular TV camera it is as close as you get to the real thing... so keep an eye out for that replay angle!

Are you kidding me?! This is all on top of having played more than 100 games already this... Read full post

Well it's been almost 40 years since I turned pro and I've seen quite a number of games over the years, but last night was the first time in my life that I've ever been invited to go to a game with a girl... Sweet! It came about in a round about way, but it was really pleasant watching the game with Lori Turoff. She and my Koguma Dojo Daisempai have season tickets to the NJ Devils and last night she originally had a conflict, so Daisempai invited me to go along. As luck... Read full post

So my friend, Neil Goldman, of Boston, told me last season that his favorite sport is NHL Playoff Hockey... And while it sounds amusing at first blush, it is true that playoffs is 'a sport' in its own right! Every shift on the ice counts in your success or going home. My neighbor reminded me yesterday that it will take 16 playoff wins for the 2011/12 Stanley Cup Champions to be crowned. That is more games than the entire NFL season! And they come after some 10 pre-season... Read full post
