Ironman Frankfurt / Ironman European Championship 2012 - 8 July 2012
After a spell of hot days, the water temperature was getting very close to 24.5C (the upper limit allowed for wetsuit swims), and it looked like it might end up being a non-wetsuit swim. Hockey Season is over sad to say!

LA locked in their spot for Stanley Cup round last night and will get a week's rest while the Rangers and Devils continue their East Coast battles tonight, tied at 2 games a piece... So, as I've said here a number of times, whoever gets the honor from this side of the draw is going to be pretty dam tired when the finals begin.

While watching the first two Rangers - Devils playoff games (that were played in the Garden), I noticed that the goal replay camera positioned at the end of the rink, i.e. behind the goaltender, gives the viewers an experience of what it is like to actually be a player on the ice.  Fans rarely get the experience, but from this particular TV camera it is as close as you get to the real thing... so keep an eye out for that replay angle!
